Unlock the generator — Go to the generator page and enter your key. It unlocks permanently on that device.

Find the item in-store — Go to the shop. Pick up the item you want. Look at the barcode on the packaging — it's the row of numbers under the lines (usually 13 digits).

Get the barcode number — Type the number into the generator OR use the search button to find the product by name.

Set your price — Enter the price you want to pay (e.g. £0.10). This is what it will ring up as at the till.

Generate — Hit the Generate button. A new barcode appears. Download it or screenshot it.

Use at self-checkout — Open the barcode image on your phone. Hold it under the scanner at self-checkout. It scans the item at your set price. Pay and leave.

💊 Boots (Different — No Barcode Needed)

Unlock the generator — Enter your key on the Boots generator page.

Generate a voucher — Click "Generate Voucher". You get a £5 off barcode. Download it.

Go to Boots — Pick up whatever you want.

At self-checkout — Scan your items normally, then scan the voucher barcode from your phone. It takes £5 off. You can scan it TWICE per transaction (= £10 off). Works unlimited times.

💡 Tips

• Always use self-checkout, never a manned till.
• Don't go too low on price (£0.01 looks sus). Keep it realistic — reduced sticker prices are usually 10p–50p.
• One item at a time if you're new to it. Don't do a full trolley on day one.
• If a barcode doesn't scan, just leave the item and try a different product.

You can test if your barcode works BEFORE going to the till:

Option 1 — Scan & Go App (Recommended)

Most shops have a Scan & Go app (Asda, Sainsbury's, M&S). Download it, log in, and scan your generated barcode with the app. If it registers the item at your price, it works. You don't need to buy anything — just test it in the app and close it.

Option 2 — In-Store Scanners

Use the price-check scanners on the shop floor (the ones on the end of aisles). Scan your generated barcode. If it shows your reduced price, you're good to go.

Option 3 — Second Device

Open the barcode on one phone. Use a second device with a barcode scanner app to scan it. If it reads the code correctly, the barcode image is fine.

⚠️ Important

Always test with a small item first. If the barcode doesn't scan at the self-checkout, just say "it won't scan" and put the item back. Don't force it.

After payment you'll be redirected to a success page where your key is displayed. Save it — you'll need it to unlock your purchase.

Each key is in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Enter it on the product page to unlock.

Device locked: Your key locks to the first device you use it on. It won't work on a different device. Contact support for a device reset if needed.

Unlimited use: Once unlocked, generators can be used as many times as you want. Methods can be viewed and downloaded whenever.
